The Santa Fe R-X School District contracts with Jim Roy Custom Lawn Spraying Services to provide the over seeding and fertilizing needed in our district during the fall of 2008. We also use his service for Spring and Summer weed control in our lawns at the high school in Alma and the elementary school in Waverly, MO.

About two years ago our school board told me to “get the yards and football field looking good” as more and more weeds and spotty areas were occurring.  Jim came in, did weed control, fertilization, pest management, the yards improved tremendously. This fall he has over seeded and fertilized all the grounds at the high school with very positive results. We were well pleased with the results and the new growth of grass. 

Jim offers a full service line from spraying, seeding, fertilizing, applying commercial lime, and aerating utilizing a full line of equipment to provide professional and quality work. Jim’s equipment is all new and sized for yard and small acreage application, it rivals the quality and accuracy of what modern farmers are using on their large acreage's.

From a manager’s prospective he has been great. He schedules his work around the schools schedule, he shows up when scheduled, and completes the scheduled application in a timely fashion. He follows up with on-site visits or phone calls to see if the desired effects happened and takes care of any problems or issues without hesitation.

During the summer of 2008 the Trenton R-IX School District utilized the services of Jim Roy to seed and fertilize the football field. The School District was in the process of renovating the football stadium and needed the work done in a timely manner. Just a note to let you know how pleased we are with your new spraying service. It was only a few days after you were here that we began to notice the broadleaf stinkers, like the dandelions, beginning to curl and brown. This past summer we suddenly had a bad problem with bag worms in our trees.  Before we noticed the problem, the worms had damaged the tops of our spruce and other trees.  We called Roy Enterprises.  Roy was at our hospital the next day and sprayed all of our trees and bushes on the grounds.  We plan to have Roy spray next year as well but to do so earlier in the season before the bugs can do damage.  We also thought the cost for the service was very reasonable. We recommend Roy Enterprises, LLC to anyone wanting to protect their trees and bushes.

This is our first try with Jim Roy. If action speaks louder than words, his work and product have proven to take care of our dandelion problem. I had him spray for other concerns also, to include "grubs". It will most likely take a little time for the results on grubs to show. We will continue to monitor the results. As it looks now, we'll have Jim Roy back in the Fall for additional work.
